Trail Description

Connnects the Spout Spring Loop to the Burnt Cabin Trailhead, which heads down to the Walla Walla River South Fork Trail.

This connector is on a nice cut of snowmobile trail that parallels, but doesn't see, the highway. It is good unimpeded riding that gives a remote feel as you head over and connect with Forest Service Road 64 by Langdon Lake. You will come out at the Ranger Station and basically cross the road onto a gravel road that takes you to the trailhead after passing through Target Meadows Campground.

To get to this connector from Woodlands Campground, you'll have the most fun following the singletrack of the Eagle Ridge Trail, which is the northeastern section of the Spout Springs Loop. Join the connector on the right after passing the second lift (just south of the lift). An alternate and most direct way to get between Woodland Campground and this connector is to follow the snowmobile trail that parallels on the west side of the highway. That trail connects the snow park across from Woodland Campground to the Spout Springs parking lot. This connector can also be accessed by going around a gate for a closed road at the north end of the Spout Springs Ski Area parking lot. There are dozens of ways to avoid the highway but you'll find this one to be the most direct and interesting.
