Foothill to Bushnell Meadow Climb

Just off of Foothill Road, at the barn, there is a public hunting access point maintained by the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and controlled by Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife. It is road that is closed to vehicles, and offers a fair climb up to Bushnell Meadow where the Solstice Loop, of the Glass Hill System can be accessed. The climb is steep and the beginning and very end. About halfway up it gets into the trees. Overall it is a beautiful climb up from Foothill Road if you want an alternate route to bike up top from La Grande.
