Trail Description

This is the preferred route to ride up to the Glass Hill MTB System. It is a well traveled gravel road the becomes rougher near the top of Glass Hill Rd. The climb starts out steep on Morgan Lake road, but mellows after turning left onto Glass Hill Road. To follow the original route of the Solstice Triathlon loop, continue on Glass Hill Road to the upper gate.

It is a 1,100 ft climb to the lower meadow where the trail comes out and another 500' of climbing to the upper gate.

Notes

  • 0.0 Start climbing up Morgan Lake road (AKA Walnut St) on the very southwest corner of La Grande.
  • 1.0 mi Turn left onto Glass Hill Rd.
  • 2.7 Arrive at the lower meadow entrance/exit on the left. This is the best place to park if you drive to the system.
  • 4.0 Turn left where the road bends to the right, and find a gate with a bike entrance on the right.
