The trail itself is more of a ridge walk with signs of an old trail but nothing really to speak of as an established trail. It is on the map though. It accesses the Bear Creek Trail. The beginning part is an old road that is just an ATV trail now. Eventually that turns into a semblance of a trail. There really isn't much risk of getting lost as you just stay on the top of the ridge all the way down, although you have to navigate around some steep volcanic rock outcroppings periodically. This trail is tagged as "unimproved trail" by the forest service some years ago, and they weren't kidding. It has potential as a gnarly downhill bike trail if the Bear Creek trail can be fixed or figure out a way out downhill at the bottom.
