Black Mountain Road Climb (Skyline Rd at Phillips Lake)

This is a good steady climb that takes you up to the shoulder of Black Mountain to head over the back side. More importantly, it can be used as an adjunct to the Phillips Lake trail system to gain some elevation and take one of the trails as a downhill on your mountain bike. The route starts at the dam and heads up. There is one right hand turn you take onto skyline road. It gets a bit rutty near the top.
