Guess what you get to see on this trail? If you answered flowers, berms, nobody, Wing Ridge, or The Seven Devils, you're probably right. This nordic ski loop is now a singletrack mountain bike trail with a nice corridor through the trees that eventually puts you in an open glad with a fantastic view when it isn't smokey (a.k.a. June-July).
Riding it clockwise presents the best Seven Devil's view time, but either direction is good. It is an easy trail technically but does include a little steeper climbing. There are several intersections but it is well marked. The intersections give you a lot of options to stack together a longer ride. Combine this with the other nordic trails and it presents excellent options for trail running and mountain biking at the Salt Creek Summit recreation area.
The trail starts across the road from the Salt Creek Summit Sno-park. You can park right beside the trailhead too. The start shares the Tenderfoot Wagon Trail route for a short ways before you take a right to complete the loop.
