Trail Description

A 1,400 foot descent that is worth the view when you get to the top. The Lakes Lookout is a 8522' elevagtion ridge prominence that used house a lookout tower. As you would expect, the panoramic view is fantastic. There are some rock drops and challenge at the top that some daredevils can have fun with, otherwise, it's a wide open downhill that is easy to shuttle. The trail makes a quick visit to one of the lakes and then puts you on a challenging and rooty ride down to Anthony Lakes. You will probably want to avoid this ride on busy weekends at the lake, as many hikers use this trail.

You can ride to the top of Lakes Lookout on Road 5185 that goes up lookers left of Anthony Lakes Ski Resort. Or, get a shuttle ride on a sturdy vehicle up to the ridge and then take your bike up the last half mile (600 vertical feet) to the top.
