Trail Description

Ride a long scenic loop that is fairly mellow on the elevation scale, but offers great scenery that could be a great introduction to the trails of Sedona, Arizona. The southern part has some easier flowy trails while the perimeters and north end have more technical trail with some benign exposure on slick rock. This counterclockwise loop combines several trails with different names, but in general you're looking at Girdner, Chuck Wagon, Mescal, Aerie and some Cockscomb all starting from the Cultural Park Trailhead at Sedona Summit. Other resources cover the trail system and names in more detail, so you can mix and match how you like. We're just featuring one ride here to give a sense of what a bigger loop of this area can entail.
